School Uniforms (rough draft)!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Dr. Richard O'Malley,

Are you prepared to take away the liberty of all the kids in Edison Township Public Schools?The Edison School District is mandating school uniforms in the Edison District. Children going to school should wear school uniforms for many reasons. First, school uniforms help stop bullying, school uniforms protecting students and faculty, and students would pay less attention on clothes and more on learning.

School uniforms would help reduce the amount of bullying because of the clothes you wear. Imagine someone being because they don't have enough money for the kind of fancy clothing everyone else was wearing. With school uniforms students would no longer have to worry about that. Students won't have to feel bad because all students aren't rich enough for fancy clothing. People might be thinking that the amount isn't affected by too much. But, that's where everyone's wrong! Every percent makes a difference. Before, school uniforms the amount of bullying was 20% and after school uniforms it reduced to 12%. Makes a big difference doesn't it?!

Most parents want their children to be safe wherever they are and with school uniforms more safety is ensured. If everyone's wearing the same clothing it's easier to identify the people that shouldn't be in school. Now just suppose an intruder entered the school. With everyone else looking the same because of school uniforms, the intruder would stick out like a sore thumb. People could get caught easily!!! What if the intruder came in with the same uniform, is what the opposition would be thinking. They would be wrong because we would make our uniforms unique. They would be one of a kind!!! School uniforms would really keep everyone safe and parents worry-free!!!

With school uniforms, there would be less attention on clothing and more on learning. Everyone would look the same, and then they wouldn't really care about how they looked. With school uniforms there wouldn't be anymore bragging about clothes. Everyone would look the same exact with the same exact clothing. The students would be able to learn more. There would be less distractions and more on learning. That would make the students smarter and then they would get better grades. Adults and teens might be thinking that some students would still care about their looks and still pay more attention on looks than learning. We would try our hardest to get these students out of that habit but, meanwhile we wouldn't stop the others from learning. See how helpful school uniforms are?

As students, faculty, and parents can see, school uniforms would help everyone. School uniforms reduce bullying, ensure safety, and give students a bigger opportunity to learn. As our superintendent you don't want to be the one who makes the wrong decision, ruining it for everyone, and putting them in danger!!!

Commercial!!!

               This commercial has been a very fun to do in class. All the students have been helpful to each other in ways such as, helping write the scripts and revising the scripts. Janushkaa and I had a great time doing our commercial and we look forward to watching others. In my opinion this was really creative and my partner and I highly enjoyed working together. Our product had ups and downs and so did our final commercial. If I could have changed anything about it though, I would have definitely made the commercial longer to have met the requirements. I really look forward to the farther comments we get on our commercial and I can't wait to see the ones my classmates have worked hard on. This was a really fun assignment and I look forward to doing something just as creative in the future.
