Are You Proud of your Country?
When you really think about it, do you do enough for your country? There are thousands of Americans who set aside their lives and their differences to fight for the freedom of their country. If the 13 colonies hadn’t come together to fight for America, America wouldn’t even be here. Can you proudly say that you are American and not feel guilty about it? Do you actually do as much as you think you do to help America? Being able to say you are American should mean that you’re proud of America, and its people.
To be considered patriotic to your country, you have got to know what support, hope, and freedom means. The citizens of America have all given each other these things and been there to fight for and protect America and all its citizens. Soldiers and many other citizens are known as some of these heroic people. Many proud American citizens, look up to these heroes, and I am one of them. The flag that hangs above our heads symbolizes these worthy citizens and all that they’ve done to help create such a fine country as America.
Just try your best to keep in mind that with being part of helping America doesn’t mean everything you do has to be a big thing. Little things, slowly add up and it may not seem like it, but they will surely make a big difference. Most of all you need to know that America has been there for you, and now it’s your time to pay it back.
All in all, just remember that you shouldn’t ask what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. Or in other words, just remember that there is no “I” in team, and there never will be.
