All About Me!!!!!!

Hola!!!!!!!My name is Heeral!!!!!!!!Some of my favorite hobbies are skateboarding,hiking,listening to songs,and talking!!!!!!I like skateboarding the best of all. I do it anytime I get the chance!!!!!! I'll do it if I'm bored,mad, and usually if I just want time to myself. Riding on my skateboard really gives me the time to think things through and calm me down as much as possible. I highly enjoy eating chocolate and that's what builds my energy up every morning. When Mrs.Patalona first told us she was having a girl I was excited until I found she wasn't going to be there for the second marking period. I didn't know whether to be glad or nervous. I wasn't exactly sure if the substitute would be like Mrs.Patalona or totally different. Would I even like her? When I first saw the substitute I thought she was awesome!!!! Her hair was the best of all!!! It really made her stand out!!!!! After that I really thought I was going to like the substitute and it turned out I was right!!!!!!!!

New Year's Here!

New year is a very special to my family and I and we celebrate this holiday by doing quite a lot. First, we have a big get-together. We invite family, friends, and relatives from all over hoping we will be able to enjoy this spectacular holiday together, as one big family. When everybody's finally there we have a big feast with assorted varieties of different foods. When the time is right for the best part of all, we all get the cups, pour in apple cider, and finally on the news when the ball drops, we scream, "Happy New Year!" The silent waiting crowd breaks from the silence to yells, giggles, and all sort of peculiar noises. Every year my family tries their hardest to celebrate this day with each other, looking back at the memories and letting go of any bad past. This holiday is one of my favorites and I think it should be celebrated by all!

Friendship

“No!No!No!” I yelled. “I just won't play! No means no!” “Why?! Look, there's nothing else to do and you won't even tell me what you want to do! We can't come up with anything and we keep arguing! I don't want to turn this into a big argument! What do you want to do then?!” She took a deep breath, sighed, and waited for a respond. “I always lose! I'm just tired of it!” I exclaimed as I stormed off.

The next thing I knew we were sitting there playing Sorry. I took a deep breath and picked up a card. I couldn't believe it! I moved my last player three places and boom, I was home! Was this a dream, or what?! I finally won! Could this really be happening? I got up, did a victory dance, and started singing, “I won! You didn't! Who didn't?! That's right! You didn't!” Well, after that I realized that I might have been acting like a really bad friend.

“I'm sorry. I really truly didn't mean it.” I whispered to her. She ignored me and I no longer knew what to say. I sat there puzzled for a moment then giving up I put my head against the sofa head. “Whatever,” she mumbled. We sat there for a moment and talked. “Look, I'm sorry I got carried away. It's been the first time I won in a long time. I know I can get carried away. I-I-I'm really sorry.” I slowly said. I looked down and heard her say, “Whatever. Don't worry about it. Let's go do something...buddy.”

I will always look back to this one day. It shows how I was being a bad sport. I finally realized how being a bad sport can hurt someone. Maybe if I didn't have anything good to say, I shouldn't have said anything at all. My friend must be really tolerant to put up with me and all of that bad sporting. This day changed our friendship. And all because of this one day we were now best friends. Best friends forever.

It's surprising how forgiving your friends can be. No matter what happens they'll be there for you when you need them. They take your side even if you're not always right and cheer you up. Friends are like stars, you can't always see them, but you know they are there.
